About this experience
Despite its capital status, Ankara manages to maintain an authentic non-touristy charm. We will stroll through the Old Town with winding streets and terracotta cobblestone roofs. We will climb to the ancient fortress, explore the artifacts of Antiquity, and visit Atatürk's mausoleum. I will tell you about the past and present of this amazing city.
What to expect
The very best in Ankara
You will see the main attractions of Ankara: Atatürk's mausoleum, the citadel, Roman baths, and the 4th-century Column of Julian. You will also see the ruins of the Temple of Augustus, which has experienced various historical periods as a Byzantine church and a madrasa. Optionally, we can visit the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations. It is one of the most modern and important historical museums in the country, with exhibits covering a period of 7500 years.
