What to Expect

• Lyab-i Hauz Square. You will see ancient madrasas and a picturesque pond where locals like to relax. Uncover how these places are connected with merchandising, Judaism, and Hodja Nasreddin.

• Guzares. We will introduce you to the authentic districts of the Old City, including the quarter of Bukharian Jews, and explain how life is arranged in them.

• Trade Domes. Once they were the most important point on the Great Silk Road map. We will decipher the features of their architecture and their historical-political significance.

• Magoki-Attori Mosque. As we examine it, we will talk about the city's religious tolerance and its centuries-old spiritual history.

• Kosh-Madrasah. You will appreciate the architectural ensemble built by two different rulers. See how the two parts of the madrasa are similar and yet distant from each other.

• Poi Kalyan Ensemble. We will show you the grand 47-meter minaret, share the history of the congregational mosque, and tell you about the educational process at the madrasa during Soviet times.

If desired, we can conclude the tour at a local chaikhana. In the East, it is customary to have heartfelt conversations and solve the main questions of existence over a cup of hot tea. This is the time when we can answer any questions of interest in a friendly format.
