What to expect
Lyabi-Hauz - one of the central squares of Bukhara, where ancient madrasas and a picturesque pond are located. I will share the history of this place, which is so beloved by local residents and city guests.
Synagogue - I will show you a synagogue from the 16th century and take you through the narrow streets of the mahalla. This is the first Jewish quarter of the city. I will talk about the construction of the synagogue and the traditions of the local Jewish community.
Trade domes - a symbol of the Old City. Observing them, you will hear about merchants and craftsmen, the Shaybanid dynasty, and other famous rulers of the Bukhara Khanate.
Poi-Kalyan - you will appreciate the architectural ensemble on the main square of Registan. It includes three structures from the 12-16th centuries: Miri Arab Madrasa, mosque, and Kalon minaret. You will learn how they were built and what their architectural features are.
Ark Fortress - an ancient citadel occupying almost 4 hectares. It is the oldest monument of the city. I will help you touch its centuries-old history.
