About this experience
Welcome to the happy land of the Campania region! Our wines have long held top positions at international professional exhibitions. And I invite you to get to know them better. We will visit a cozy winery, stroll among the vineyards, peek into the cellar. And then - we will taste the famous 'Tear of Christ', cheeses, salami, and Neapolitan pie.
What to Expect
The volcanic soil of Vesuvius has been valued since ancient times by the Greeks, who were experts in winemaking. So, you can consider that you have come to the homeland of grapevines and wine in Italy! You will walk among the rows of vineyards, see special equipment, visit the cellar with barrels, and if you wish, take atmospheric photos.
Then we will head for the tasting. You will try the famous 'Tear of Christ', prosecco, white and red wines, as well as local products: cheese, salami, ham, olive oil with cafone bread and Piennolo del Vesuvio tomatoes. The main dish will be Neapolitans' favorite spaghetti, and for dessert, you will be served the traditional Casatella pie.
After such a meal, there is a custom here to 'take a remedy' for better digestion. In our case, it will be apricot grappa.
On the tour, you will learn:
- Why the Vesuvius volcano plays a key role in Campania's winemaking
- What grape varieties are grown in the region
- How the wine 'Tear of Christ' originated
- How to properly pair wine with various types of products, including cheeses, meat, and snacks
- What culinary traditions the region is famous for
- And much more!
