About this experience
Aromatic pastries, herring with various sauces, cheeses and open sandwiches - get ready to try everything the Danish cuisine is rightfully proud of in just one day! We will walk through the center of Copenhagen from a 17th century bakery to a shop frequented by the royal family. And, of course, we will generously season the walk with stories and anecdotes from the lives of the Danes.
What to expect
A tasty walk - from pastries to herring!
Our journey will lead you to the favorite gastronomic spots of the locals - starting with a 17th century bakery with amazing pastries. After tasting Danish pastries, we will walk through the center of Copenhagen and discuss why the city was founded thanks to herring. Then we will head to Torvehallerne market, where you can try fish cakes with original sauce and appreciate the king of Danish cuisine - smørrebrød. Along the way, I will invite you to a small picnic with a glass of wine to taste several local hard and soft cheeses, which are often served at the royal table.
Danish secrets seasoned with hygge sauce
In addition to culinary discoveries, an active walk through the historical districts of the city awaits you, where you can feel the spirit of old Copenhagen. You will explore cozy streets and local landmarks, while also learning the most interesting facts about the lives of the Danes firsthand. We will talk about the Scandinavian phenomenon of 'hygge', the habits of the local residents, and during the tastings, we will delve into the particularities of Danish cuisine.
