About this experience
Porto is a mysterious and somewhat closed place, the charm of which gradually reveals itself. You will leisurely walk through its narrow streets and picturesque alleys, climb to the viewpoints, and learn what sets Porto apart from other cities in the country.
What to Expect
Porto Through the Centuries
You will explore the Se Cathedral, built in the 12th century in the Romanesque style. I will tell you why it was repeatedly extended and rebuilt throughout history and what is behind its stern appearance. You will also climb to the viewpoint of the cathedral and see the city from a bird's eye view. Next, we will visit the nearby Sao Bento Railway Station. The captivating paintings in the hall will tell you about important events in the history of Portugal.
Porto's Must-See Attractions
You will visit the main square of Avenida dos Aliados and see the unusual McDonald's. I will reveal the secret of under what conditions the former owner of a prestigious restaurant agreed to lease the fast-food space in the very center of Porto. Then, I will show you the famous Lello Bookshop and the Clérigos Tower, one of the main symbols of the city. To finish, you will walk across the picturesque iron bridge and hear the secrets of Portuguese gold jewelry.
