About this experience
Porto is a fantastic city, where the blend of history and beautiful landscapes feels natural. The red roofs, azulejos, and its atmosphere captivate from the very first moments. This city with a millennia-old history is mixed with contemporary art, vibrant nightlife, traditions, delicious Portuguese food, and intoxicating port wine. Join me on a walk through the city, along both well-known and less popular routes.
What to Expect
The Highlights of Porto
We will start at the beautiful São Bento train station or the main square Praça da Liberdade, which perfectly captures the mysterious atmosphere of Porto. Then we will stroll through the wonderful streets of the center, off the beaten path where you can see the real life of the Portuguese. We will admire the main attractions of the city: the Cathedral Sé, the tallest tower in the city Torre dos Clérigos, one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world "Lello", São Bento railway station, and more. We will also enjoy the city from the viewpoints.
The Legendary Bridge and Optional Activities
Later, we will descend to the Douro River through old streets to the Ribeira waterfront with a mesmerizing view of the D. Luis I Bridge - where, in my opinion, the most beautiful photos of the true Porto are taken. The tour will end on the other side of the Douro River - in the sister city Vila Nova de Gaia at the port wine cellars. Optionally, you can visit one of the cellars for a tasting or take a boat ride along the six bridges of Porto. Finally, we will definitely recommend where to try local delicacies at a good price and what to do after the tour.
Who is this tour for
This tour is perfect for those who are visiting Porto for the first time and do not want to delve into lengthy historical information about the monuments of Porto. Instead, I will do everything for you to feel the local color and genuinely fall in love with this city.
