About this experience
I invite you to a comfortable journey from Rome, combining fantastic landscapes and medieval architecture. You will visit the Valle del Treja regional park with waterfalls, dense forest, and an ancient water mill. And then you will head to the magical village of Calcata, frozen in time. You will walk through its winding streets and uncover local secrets.
What to expect
Valle del Treja Park
You will see the most famous places in the park: a medieval tower, an ancient water mill, and waterfalls on the Treja River. You will walk through the forest, breathe fresh air, and relax your soul. I will tell you which movies were filmed in these picturesque places and other interesting facts. Optionally, after the walk, you can have a snack at the local tavern 'for locals' right above the park.
Village of Calcata
This is an idyllic medieval village located on a tuff cliff. You will be impressed by its houses overlooking a deep gorge, the lush nature of the surrounding hills, and the ringing silence. You will visit its main square, where the 17th-century church and the palace of the noble Anguillara family are located. And then you will stroll through the enchanting narrow alleys, peeking at tiny terraces with fantastic panoramas.
