What to Expect

Samarkand in Good Company
You will visit the most interesting and important corners of Samarkand. The tour program includes:

• Gur Emir Mausoleum - this is where Tamerlane, his sons, grandsons, and even great-grandsons are resting. I will share stories about the life and exploits of the great commander.

• Registan Square - the city's calling card. Here I will tell you about the medieval scientist Ulugh Beg and the legendary tigers from the Sher-Dor Madrasa. I will also help decipher the name of the colorful Tilya-Kori Mosque.

• Bibi-Khanym Mosque - a grand mosque from the 15th century, built by Amir Timur in honor of his wife. You will hear the beautiful story of their love.

• Siab Bazaar - the oldest and largest market in Samarkand. You will taste local sweets and learn how to bargain correctly.

• Shahi-Zinda Necropolis - a colorful 'city within a city'. Here lie the paternal cousins of the Prophet Muhammad and close people of Tamerlane: his sisters, wives, architects, and officials. You will learn how the necropolis was built and decipher the features of its architecture.

The bright finale of the tour will be a viewing platform with a magnificent view of the entire city!

Due to abnormal heat, the tour can be rescheduled for the evening. The route and duration will remain the same.

• The tour is conducted in a premium-class Kia Sportage X-Line car. Transportation is included in the price.
• The car has air conditioning, and during walks, I will provide each participant with a sun umbrella for protection.
• Entrance tickets are paid separately - 10-15 euros per person. With me, you will not have to stand in line for tickets, I will skillfully bypass them thanks to my guide privileges.
• The duration of the tour depends on the pace of the walking part, 3-4 hours
• We will visit the Siab Bazaar in overview. You can return for shopping at the shops you like at another time.
• The tour can also start at 14:00 and 18:00. If you want to book this time, inform the guide in the correspondence.
• Upon agreement with the guide, for an additional fee, the tour can be extended and include a sightseeing of other attractions
• I am an excellent photographer. Especially for you, I will take a large series of beautiful photos on the iPhone 14 Pro as a keepsake of the trip and to make your friends envious.
• Upon request, I can conduct a tour for a larger group of people. Details can be clarified in a personal message.
• The tour is conducted in a car with air conditioning, and each traveler is entitled to an umbrella.
