What to expect
Samarkand is vibrant and colorful
I will show you all the most important places in the city. The tour program includes:
- Tamerlane's Mausoleum – I will tell you about the life of the great military leader and share amazing details of his campaigns recorded by the historian Sherifiddin Ali Yazdi.
- Registan Square – you will visit the main square of the city and learn about the educational institutions that were located here in the Middle Ages and how the teaching process was organized in them.
- Bibi-Khanym Mosque – a place that has been the subject of legends for centuries. Some said that visiting the mosque helps to restore hearing. Others claimed that it fulfills all wishes. We will delve into these mysterious stories and appreciate the skill of 15th-century architects.
- Shah-i-Zinda Necropolis – one of the brightest attractions of Samarkand. It is a whole ancient city where famous people are buried. You will hear about the life and death of local nobility representatives from different eras.
- Siab Bazaar – we will stroll through a truly oriental market where life has been bustling for centuries.
- Hudjum Carpet Factory – you will see how silk carpets are woven using ancient technology. The goal of this factory is to revive the craft of our ancestors.
