About this experience
A city rich in history and architecture, a city of parks and classical music: I will show you Vienna just the way you expect it. You will drive along the Ringstrasse, revisit the Habsburgs at their residence, take photos at the main squares, see the Rathaus and St. Stephen's Cathedral — all while being able to tailor the route to your interests.
What to Expect
The Ideal Encounter with Vienna
I will plan your meeting with the imperial capital especially for you: we will discuss the route in advance or adjust it on the spot. The car will allow us to cover places of interest to you — we will stop at the sights as you wish. Of course, these two hours will be filled with stories about the history, appearance, and character of Vienna. And you will also receive any recommendations about the city: how to get to museums, where to dine, and where else to visit.
Ringstrasse — the Must-See on One Boulevard
On Vienna's main green artery, the city's ceremonial sights are 'gathered', without which the city cannot be recognized.
- You will be impressed by the Hofburg palace complex, which was built over 10 centuries. Admiring the Renaissance-style facade, we will talk about the Habsburg dynasty and the treasures stored in the Hofburg, their winter residence.
- In the Heroes' Square in front of the palace, you will hear about military parades and see the balcony where the annexation of Austria was announced. Nearby, you will enjoy the Maria Theresa Square with its twin museums and learn about the greatness of this queen.
- Of course, we will not miss the legendary Vienna Opera House and St. Stephen's Cathedral, a symbol of both Vienna and all of Austria. At the Burgtheater, I will talk about the valuable ceilings in the foyer, and near the monument at Schwarzenbergplatz, we will discuss the relationship of the Habsburgs with the Red Army.
- A trip along the Ringstrasse will also include the Parliament building in ancient style and the neo-Gothic Rathaus, the center of the city's authority.
City of Parks
There are plenty of them in the greenest city in Europe. You will take a walk in a park in classical English style, where a monument to Johann Strauss stands in the shade of the trees. You will learn about the world-famous family of composers and their breakthrough in classical music. Afterwards, we will drive to the ecological symbolic house of modern Vienna, a bright project by the artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser. We will end the walk in the center on the bustling Albertinaplatz.
