City landmarks
You will see all the iconic landmarks of Vienna's historic center: the most beautiful avenue in Europe, the Parliament, the City Hall, the University, the famous Vienna Opera, and the Burggarten Palace Park. Explore the historic squares of Maria Theresa, Joseph, and St. Michael, the Gothic Church of Gratitude, and the Catholic 'Scottish Monastery.' You will also hear the history of the magnificent Hofburg - the main imperial residence, where the members of the ruling dynasty of Austria lived until 1918.
Vienna's history and legends
You will learn about the history and development of Vienna and meet the most colorful characters who lived in this beautiful city. I will tell you how the crowns built St. Stephen's Cathedral and why they erected the Plague Column. Also: what was sold on Kolmarket trading street, where Mozart was crowned, how the Spanish Riding School was opened, and why horses there are only white.
