About this experience
If you are visiting Vienna for the first time, the best start to your journey will be a tour along one of the most beautiful boulevards in the world - the Ringstrasse street. Built on the site of the fortifications, it encircles the central district, the Inner City. I will introduce you to both the must-see and hidden gems of the capital. Along the Ringstrasse, you will see the residence of the Austrian Habsburgs, the Museum of Art History and the Natural History Museum, the Parliament, the City Hall, the University of Vienna, beautiful parks, and much more.
What to expect
University of Vienna
The tour will start with the grand building of the University of Vienna. If desired and provided that the educational institution is open, I will be delighted to show you how students live in Vienna. You will walk through the halls where Freud once strolled. Since I am studying here myself, I will be happy to talk about the differences in the education system and interesting features of studying in Austria. And, of course, I will pay special attention to the works of the famous Austrian artist, Gustav Klimt, painted specifically for the university.
City Hall, People's Park, and Hofburg
Next on the agenda is the most significant non-religious building in neo-Gothic style - the City Hall, which almost all tourists confuse with a cathedral, and the snow-white Parliament building. In the People's Park, one of the favorite recreation spots for the locals, it is especially pleasant to stroll in the summer season, when the air is filled with the scents of roses. Here we will talk a little about Napoleon Bonaparte - you probably did not realize that Vienna has a lot of connections with the French emperor. And the final chord will be the unmatched Hofburg, embodying the entire history of the Austrian capital. Near the walls of the Habsburg palace, I will talk about the famous dynasty that ruled for 600 years and the intricacies of the complex layout.
I love this city very much and want you to fall in love with it too!
