Enjoy the enchanting Green Mountains and explore the authentic village of Birkat Al Mawz with its unique irrigation system. And I will tell you about local traditions, history, and culture.
What to Expect
Nizwa City. You will visit a 17th-century fort and admire panoramic views of the city and surroundings. Learn about military architecture and defense strategies in ancient Oman. Then we will head to the colorful eastern market where you can find everything from traditional sweets and spices to silverware and ceramics.
Birkat Al Mawz Village. Take a stroll through the cozy streets and learn how traditional agricultural methods are used today. Discover the ancient aflaj irrigation system designed to distribute water in arid regions. Uncover how ancient civilizations adapted to the harsh desert conditions.
Green Mountains. Enjoy the fresh mountain air and walk along picturesque trails. Experience the contrast between the arid desert and fertile green terraces. If you're lucky, you may see blooming roses, pomegranates, and apricots.
