About this experience
I am a master of history and a professional guide. During our meeting at the Museum of Armenian History, I will take you through the development of my country from the early Paleolithic era to the establishment of Christianity in the Early Middle Ages. We will pay special attention to the beliefs, traditional rituals, and way of life of ancient Armenians.
What to Expect
The first museum of the Republic of Armenia will reveal the rich past of the Armenian people, allowing you to appreciate the material and spiritual treasures of the country. I will show you unique exhibits - some of them date back around 250,000 years! There will also be artifacts that are 'younger': a shoe that is about 5500 years old, burial chariots for leaders, and unique statues from the ancient capital of Artashat.
We will examine amphorae and vessels from the era of Armenian Hellenism and discuss those times. We will recall pre-Christian cults, talk about rituals, and vivid traditions of ancient Armenians. You will learn what people believed in, what they hoped for, and, of course, what they loved most about their country.
Who Is It For
The museum will be of interest to both history and ancient art enthusiasts and ordinary citizens, as it will enrich them with information and leave pleasant impressions from the extensive exposition.
