About this experience
Vilnius is a compact city, and even if you only have 3 hours, you will have enough time to not only drive around the main avenues of the capital, but also walk along the winding streets and courtyards of the Old Town, taste the famous cepelinai with real Lithuanian beer, and admire Vilnius from a beautiful observation deck.
What to Expect
Airport Assistance
I will meet you at the airport, and we will head to the city center in my car. The journey will take only 10-15 minutes! The close proximity of Vilnius Airport to the Old Town will allow you to spend maximum time getting to know Vilnius, without wasting much time on transfers. The first part of the tour will be by car, the second part will be on foot. After lunch, I will take you back to the airport or to your hotel.
Vilnius from the Window
You will see the city gates, the main squares of the city - Cathedral and Town Hall, the Vilnia River, the district of Užupis known as the creative quarter, a gothic masterpiece - the Church of St. Anne, 19th and 20th-century buildings, the Lithuanian Parliament, and the modern districts of the city. From a beautiful viewpoint on the bank terrace, you will enjoy panoramic views of Vilnius over a cup of coffee, and then return to the historic center, passing over a recently built beautiful bridge.
Old Town by Foot
After getting a general overview of the city on the car tour, you will take a walking tour to feel the true spirit of Old Vilnius. Walking along medieval streets and authentic courtyards, you will learn the most important and interesting details from the city's history, hear some urban legends, and get acquainted with the culture and traditions of the Lithuanian people. Along the way, you will see the Presidential Palace, Vilnius University, the Jewish Quarter, and the main central street of the Old Town - Pilies Street. To complete the experience, you will taste delicious (and hearty) dishes of the national cuisine with real Lithuanian beer, ensuring your impression of the city is fully complete!
