About this experience
Igalo is a town in the municipality of Herceg Novi. In the 70s, the government complex 'Galeb' was built here. You will explore the original architecture and interiors of the residence. Learn about the principles of the house layout where the president lived, conducted state affairs, and improved his health. Appreciate the beauty of the park surrounding the villa and the views of the bay. And of course, you will hear about the bright political figure of the 20th century.
What to expect
- Get acquainted with the history of one of the 33 residences of the President of Yugoslavia.
- Visit all the available rooms of the villa and even go down to the closed bunker.
- Apart from offices, meeting rooms, and lounges, a large part of the complex was designated for therapeutic procedures. You will uncover the secrets of Marshal Tito's personal pool and learn about the approaches used to maintain and restore the leader's health.
- I will tell you about how Tito was guarded and why his own wife fell into disgrace.
- You will also find out for what purposes an aquarium served in the residence.
- You will be able to sit in the same chair where the current King of England sat (Prince Charles visited the villa for a one-day visit).
- Enjoy the view of the Bay of Kotor from the villa's balcony and take a stroll in the lush garden with Mediterranean vegetation.
Organizational details
