About this experience
During this journey, you will dive into the legends of emperors and samurai clans, hear stories of success and failures of Japanese brands, taste the freshest seafood at the world-famous market, cross the Rainbow Bridge to the 'dimension' of Odaiba island, and visit the iconic central station.
What to Expect
Tokyo Central Station
You will learn about the famous Tokyo station, one of the most popular attractions in the city. Recently renovated to its original splendor after the war, the station serves as the main gateway to the capital for visitors arriving by bullet train or from Narita Airport. The magnificent red brick facade, built in 1914, transitions into a bustling underground city with railway tracks, shops, and restaurants.
Imperial Palace
You will visit the renowned residence, discover the tragic history of the imperial family and the traditions of the ruthless samurai clan. Spread across nearly 7500 sq. km, you will see a splendid palace complex with ancient structures, moats, and canals. Take a stroll in the palace surroundings, admiring the impeccable beauty of the Japanese garden, one of the best places to enjoy cherry blossom during hanami.
Fashionable Ginza
In the trendy Ginza district, you will encounter a sharp contrast with traditional Japan. We will talk about the liveliest and most vibrant area of the capital, where the most expensive square meter of real estate can be found. You will hear stories of the creation of famous Japanese brands, prominent figures, and their biographies, as well as equally shocking tales of company failures and bankruptcies.
Fish Market
You will get acquainted with another iconic spot of Tokyo and the entire country at the world-renowned Tsukiji fish market, where you will taste fresh fish, delicious seafood, and exotic dishes. You will witness the real scale of the market's operation, where several tons of marine creatures are sold daily.
Odaiba Island
Take a train on the monorail to Odaiba island, where I will tell you about the amazing man-made structure, part of the land reclaimed from the sea. Here, you might feel like you have made a quantum leap in time! Special attention will be given to the multi-level Rainbow Bridge, connecting the island to the 'mainland' Tokyo.
