What to expect
Excursion in Tirana
We will start the walk from the central square of the city - Skanderbeg Square, the national hero of Albania. You will see the famous Et'hem Bey Mosque and learn about the role it played in the revival of religious freedom in the country. I will tell you about the most popular attraction - Albanian bunkers. We will see the Parliament, Congress Palace, National Gallery, and Mother Teresa University on the main boulevard of Tirana. We will end the tour in the Block area, where the house of Enver Hoxha, a famous political figure, is preserved. Then you will have 2 hours of free time.
Medieval Kruja
Less than an hour's drive from Tirana - and we are in the ancient city, where Skanderbeg was born, whom you will already learn about in the first part of the tour. As we drive up the slopes of Mount Salltik, you will enjoy the view of the surroundings. And upon arrival, you will start exploring Kruja.
There are several important historical places on the program, including the 5th-century castle. We will visit the Old Bazaar, fortress, Ethnographic Museum, and the Skanderbeg Museum. Then you can have lunch at a local restaurant famous for national dishes. This is where the journey will end, and we will head back.
