Teide Volcano

Program

Starting the ascent from the coast near Los Cristianos, on the way to the Teide National Park, we will pass through all altitude-climatic zones, observing how the plant and climate picture changes with altitude.

Canary wines If desired, we can visit a free wine tasting of Canary wines produced in the Vilaflor region. I also offer my clients to visit the historical center of this small town, which is inaccessible by large buses, admire two churches, and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the Spanish province.

Pine forests Once in the green belt of pine forests surrounding the volcano (Corona Forestal), we will definitely see the largest pine tree in the Canary archipelago. By the way, I recommend preparing a "secret wish" in advance to leave a note in the hollow of this giant. Tourists have tried it - they say it works!

Caldera and Obsidian Valley Next, stopping at the most beautiful viewing platforms, we reach the territory of the old volcano crater, the so-called Caldera. For those willing to climb almost to the top of Teide, there is a funicular. We will also visit the Obsidian Valley, a small lava museum, lunar and Martian landscapes. The landscapes look so mysterious that they give rise to various jokes and speculations. For example, that Americans did not land on the Moon, but dressed in spacesuits, placed a lunar rover and a star-striped flag in our valleys on Teide, took pictures, and reported on the conquest of the Moon. This is just a version, but it is a fact that many space-themed movies were filmed here - and you will be able to appreciate these fantastic views yourself.

La Esperanza Forests The return journey passes through the beautiful La Esperanza forests, where pines coexist with junipers, eucalyptus, and dandelions of giant sizes.

Lunch If you decide to have lunch, I will show you many places with a variety of dining options - from ordinary hamburgers, dumplings, to Canarian rabbit and goat meat with homemade wine. If desired, we can organize a barbecue at the picnic areas located in the Forest Crown. This is one of the favorite leisure activities of Spaniards.
