What to expect
The power and beauty of volcanic landscapes
Our journey will start on the southern slope of Teide. You will visit the highest settlement in Spain - Vilaflor, admire the Canarian pine Pino Gordo, and learn why it is a true pride of the archipelago. Continuing our drive up, we will reach the largest crater in Europe, Las Cañadas del Teide, from where, on a clear day, you can see the neighboring islands of Gran Canaria, El Hierro, La Gomera, La Palma, and the sea of clouds!
The best panoramic viewpoints and breathtaking views
You will visit the most famous viewpoints of Teide: the Queen's Shoe, the Beauty Rock depicted on the Spanish banknote of 1979, and the Lunar Landscapes. Locals joke that the moon landing was filmed here. I will reveal the secret of which famous movies were actually filmed here. The Lunar Landscapes will be our last stop in Teide National Park, after which we will descend to the western coast through the Chinyero volcano.
