Loro Park and Teide Volcano: Immersion in the Nature of Tenerife
About this experience
This day trip will take you to two of the most beautiful places on the island of Tenerife. In the first part of the journey, exotic animals and birds of Loro Park await you: lions and orcas, gorillas and penguins, flamingos and numerous parrots. After spending a few hours in the park, you will head to the Teide volcano, where Martian landscapes and my stories about the pristine nature of the island of eternal spring will accompany you all the way.
What to Expect
Animal World in one of the largest zoos in the world
The first goal of the journey is Loro Park, a real kingdom of fauna and flora near the city of Puerto de la Cruz. The zoo covers 13.5 hectares, but in 4-5 hours you will have time to explore the most interesting places, while I tell you about the history of Loro Park and help you navigate. You will see exotic animals and birds: gorillas, capybaras, sloths, lions, Bengal tigers, red pandas, jaguars, flamingos, various parrots, and many others. Visit the world's first penguinarium and a large aquarium. Optionally, you can attend shows featuring orcas, dolphins, sea lions, or parrots.
Road through the clouds and the iconic Tenerife volcano
In the second half of the day, we will head to the highest point of the island: the route passes through the Orotava Valley along mountain roads literally through a sea of clouds. Here, at an altitude of 2000 meters, you will find Teide National Park. As we drive through the park, we will stop at viewpoints to admire the famous Martian landscapes and the complex of whimsical rocks of Roque de Garcia. Impressions of the amazing nature will be complemented by my stories about the formation of the island of Tenerife, volcanology, and local plants. Descending down the southern slopes, we will stop at Pino Gordo, the highest and oldest pine tree in the Canary Archipelago.
To conclude the journey, we will have coffee the Canarian way, a traditional barraquito!
