Tashkent 3 in 1: Old City, Tashkent-City, and Lunch in the Center of Plov
About this experience
One of the oldest cities in Central Asia and the Uzbek Dubai - that's all about Tashkent! In one day, we will help you discover both sides of the Eastern capital: you will visit the Tashkent-City complex, taste delicious plov (included in the price), get lost among the streets, madrasas, and mosques of the Old City, and enjoy Uzbek-style shopping at the colorful Chorsu bazaar.
What to Expect
Tashkent City: City of the Future
We will start exploring the city from its modern part - we will head to Tashkent-City. Here, the capital of Uzbekistan will appear before you as a real metropolis of Central Asia, with a park, a singing fountain, the Hilton hotel, and restaurants. Optionally, we will visit the Wax Figure Museum and the planetarium, and then take a look at Magiс City - the largest all-season amusement park in Asia with an oceanarium.
Authentic Uzbek Cuisine
To settle the impressions of the first part of the tour, we will have lunch at one of the best plov centers in Tashkent: either near the Shakhristan TV tower or by the Anchor River - your choice. A fragrant and hearty lunch is included in the tour price!
Ancient Heritage of the City
Let's not forget that Tashkent is one of the oldest cities in Central Asia. After lunch, we will stroll through the Old City and explore its main attractions:
- Kukeldash Madrasa - a 16th-century educational institution near Chorsu Bazaar. You will learn who studied here, pay attention to the details of the facade, and learn about the history of the madrasa.
- Khast-Imam - a massive religious complex. We will examine the ancient structures of Tashkent, mosques, and madrasas that have survived to this day. We can also visit the library of Eastern manuscripts and see the world-famous Osman Quran.
- Chorsu Bazaar - the heart of the city, where caravans of the Silk Road crossed paths for centuries. The Eastern bazaar has hardly changed since the Middle Ages: here you can still buy spices, ceramics, and souvenirs. And we will teach you how to bargain and enjoy shopping in the Uzbek style.
