We will get acquainted with local legends and talk about the era when Tarragona was an important center of the Roman Empire. What to expect
Echoes of the Roman epoch
We will walk along the Rambla boulevard with beautiful statues and fountains, and then take photos at the Mediterranean balcony, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea. I will tell you about the glorious past of Tarragona and show you the remaining monuments of the Roman Empire: you will see the amphitheater where gladiators fought, observe how modern city architecture is intertwined with ancient foundations. And if we're lucky (and luck usually strikes three times a year), we will meet a real gladiator!
Secrets of the ancient city
We will peek into the hidden corners of Tarragona, where I will tell you stories about knights and medieval ghosts, show you the most delicious and cozy spots in the city. You will learn why Tarragona is called the city of moaning cats, why the locals revere Santa Tecla so much, where the medieval hospital was located, and much more!
And after the walk, you will receive a small gift: an electronic version of the “Catalan Cuisine Recipe Book”. You will be able to cook many dishes at home similar to the ones that captured your heart in Spain!
