About this experience
Tallinn is an amazing city where you can travel back in time as if on a time machine. This journey is not only to the distant Middle Ages, but also to a time when Estonians and Russians lived in the same country - the Soviet Union. Estonia was the most 'non-Soviet' republic. On this tour, you will not only repeat the route of well-known TV hosts, but also learn, among other things, what made Estonia different from other republics.
What to Expect
- We will start in the center of the Old Town, where one of the heroes of the show found the five spires of the most important buildings in Tallinn to make a secret wish.
- We will visit the ancient pharmacy from the show, where I will tell you about medieval remedies and healing.
- We will try a medieval treat, like the host of the show, sugared nuts with cinnamon. You will find out what this treat is and how it appeared in the city.
- We will visit the bar 'III Draakon', where the host had a budget meal and meet its hostesses.
- We will climb one of the towers of the Old Town with a breathtaking view.
- We will visit the Museum of the Estonian Maritime Museum (if desired), in which the hostess was.
- I will also introduce you to modern architecture and 'gems' of Soviet-era architecture. I will tell you about Tallinn's 'Bermuda Triangle'.
- We will visit 'Labor' bar with excellent cocktails. You will also learn about other bars where the host feasted, including 'Depeche Mode'.
As a result, you will get acquainted with Tallinn and the country of different eras and cultures. You will learn their strengths and weaknesses, realize the mysterious power of Tallinn, which has so carefully preserved the city throughout its existence.
