About this experience
In just a couple of hours, I will help you explore the details of the city and its landmarks, understand what is hidden in the facades of buildings and in the soul of locals, discover the secrets of hidden courtyards and cunning apothecaries. This journey to the Middle Ages will truly help you understand Tallinn, leave a pleasant aftertaste, and most importantly - create a desire to come back.
What to Expect
Old Town Inside Out
To immerse yourself in the atmosphere of old Revel, we will walk along centuries-old streets, peek into hidden courtyards, meander around the walls and towers of the Old Town. Along the way from Viru Gates and Town Hall Square to the "peak" of Toompea Hill, the city's history generously spiced with legends, urban superstitions, apothecary tricks, and the traditions of town councillors will unfold before you. We will find ancient dogs and dragons, see Toompea Castle and the Knight School that has been around for 700 years, visit the Danish King's Garden, gild our palms, and uncover the secrets of magical patterns on Estonian mittens.
Unravel Tallinn in Two Hours
We will manage to cover not everything, but a lot: we will talk about the "celebrities" of the Middle Ages and the division of the city into Upper and Lower Town, visit the world's oldest working pharmacy, discuss the secrets of the Town Hall and Tallinn's churches. I will tell you who and how saved the Cathedral of Saint Mary the Virgin, which movies were filmed in Tallinn, recommend places for independent walks, and share where to buy souvenirs, try marzipan, and taste the best coffee in the city. And against the backdrop of fairytale terracotta roofs, we will take a photo with the local seagull Steven, who has his own account on social media!
