About this experience
I offer unique and fascinating tours of Madrid on Segway. With the help of this modern means of transportation, you can leisurely explore one of the offered routes and get to know the history of the city's landmarks.
Route
During the tour, we can visit:
The historic part of Madrid from the Habsburg era: Plaza Mayor, Plaza de la Villa, get a glimpse of the Royal Palace (Palacio Real), Almudena Cathedral (La Catedral de Almudena), and even enjoy views of the mountains surrounding Madrid (weather permitting). Visit the East Square (Plaza Oriente), see Sabatini Gardens (Jardin de Sabatini), Plaza Isabel II.
The historic part of Madrid known as the “Literary Quarter” (Barrio de las letras) - its streets are pedestrianized and are a favorite spot for both Madrileños and visitors: streets once walked by and where famous Spanish writers of the “Golden Age” lived, Lope de Vega's and Miguel de Cervantes' houses, the heart of the district - Santa Ana Square (Plaza Santa Ana). This route can conclude with the hanging gardens designed by the renowned French botanist Patrick Blanc or Puerta del Sol.
During the tour, I will share information about historical and architectural landmarks, interesting facts about the city's history, its streets and neighborhoods, as well as the traditions and customs of the residents.
If desired, the route can be modified, as long as it is feasible and safe for tourists and other road users.
