About this experience
This walk will help you organically continue your acquaintance with the Eternal City. You will stroll through secret spots of the historical center, admire the masterpieces of great Renaissance artists, visit ancient churches, and explore corners unknown even to Romans. And afterwards, you will taste the most delicious gelato in the world, or maybe even treat yourself to a glass of refreshing prosecco.
What to Expect
Rome for Locals. Our walk will start in the part of the historical center where cozy old Rome hides in shady alleys with ancient cobblestones, lush ivy, dusty shutters, antique benches, and numerous centuries-old secrets.
Renaissance Masterpieces. After tasting the legendary Roman gelato and exploring the most interesting corners of the city, we will meet a great master of the Renaissance era. In an unassuming church at first sight, you will admire one of Raphael's most iconic frescoes.
City Market. Next, you will stroll through Campo dei Fiori market, enjoying the scents of flowers and fresh vegetables, and discover the Spada Palace, famous not only for its magnificent facade but also for an interesting optical illusion by Borromini, commissioned by a wealthy cardinal enamored with the elegance of exact sciences.
Walk through Romantic Trastevere. We will then cross the Tiber and find ourselves in the legendary district of Trastevere, whose streets are so picturesque that they seem like theatrical scenery. Immersed in an atmosphere of leisure and hedonism, you will step through the centuries and visit the oldest basilica built at the dawn of Christianity.
Panoramas of the Aventine Hill. To properly conclude our journey, we will admire the ancient Roman Circus Maximus and ascend the Aventine Hill. Here, you will be captivated by the luxurious Orange Gardens, the mysterious keyhole view at the Knights of Malta's headquarters, and the breathtaking view of the Eternal City.

- This walk will be a great addition to the "Rome from Scratch" tour, but it is also perfect for those who are visiting the city for not the first time.
- Let us know if you have any special route preferences. If possible, we will tailor the program to you and help fill in the gaps in your relationship with Rome.
- Remember the rules for visiting churches and on the day of the tour, refrain from wearing overly short or revealing outfits.
