About this experience
Most of Samarkand's guests visit the same landmarks. Yes, they are magnificent! But the city is not limited to them. I will show you an authentic neighborhood of Bukharan Jews, an ancient citadel, a grand open-air ethnographic complex, and other amazing places. If you have already seen the city's iconic sights, this tour is the perfect option.
What to expect
Unconventional Samarkand
We will travel by car, stopping at the most interesting places. In 4 hours, you will:
- Stroll through the ancient quarter of Bukharan Jews, visit a synagogue and a hamam
- See the mausoleum of Ishratkhon - the last unrestored building of the Timurid era
- Walk through the ruins of the ancient citadel Afrasiab, explore the museum dedicated to it, the mausoleum of the prophet Daniel, and the mosque Hazrat-Khyzr
- Observe the process of silk paper production at the manufactory
- Be impressed by the modern ethnographic complex 'Eternal City,' vividly revealing the history and traditions of different regions of the country
And that's not all!
