About this experience
You don't need to be a professional athlete to enjoy a running tour. The comfortable pace will allow for numerous stops at iconic spots in Chisinau, bringing a dynamic perspective to the city. Chisinau still retains characteristics of the 'Golden Capital' it was in the 19th century - I will help you notice this and share stories of its glorious past.
What to Expect
Moving City
You can choose a comfortable pace, and throughout the tour, we will maintain it, combining running with stops at landmarks. With every hundred meters covered, you'll see how the views of Chisinau change, like frames of a movie. The pace of the tour will not affect its content - exploring each corner of the city where we find ourselves will be thorough, while the time moving between them will be significantly reduced :)
Glorious Past of Chisinau
I will show you the new and old aspect of the Asiatic city with intertwining streets, partially ruined and restored buildings from the 19th century, constructed in an eclectic style with neoclassical elements. You will visit the house where the famous mayor Karl Schmidt lived, the mansions of the Krupenski and Katardji families. Visit Pushkin Hill and learn the story of what happened with the Sun of Russian poetry in Chisinau, run in the footsteps of Alexander I, and hear the legend of ghosts at the red mill. The oldest architecture of the city will reveal itself to you - for example, the Old Believers' Mazarakievskaya Church, the secrets of the Masons and the Decembrists from the Great Road.
Who Is This Tour For
No special preparation is required to participate in the tour - just your willingness to discover the city briskly and cheerfully. But if you are a professional athlete and want to stay in shape even while traveling, we can set a clear route mileage: I am an athlete myself and can keep up with any pace.
Organizational Details
Upon your request, the tour can be conducted not in a running, but in a walking sightseeing format.
