You will learn when the city was first mentioned in chronicles, which nationalities inhabited it, what role the Russian Empire played in local urban planning, and why almost everyone still speaks Russian here.

I will talk about famous individuals related to Chișinău: pianist Rubinstein, professor Sklifosovsky, and the 'banana magnate' Samuel Zemurray. I will also dispel some myths floating around the city. For example, you will find out if it is true that King Arthur was born here and Pushkin was exiled to this place twice.
