About this experience
Ronda is a synthesis of landscape design, centuries-old history, gangster adventures, beautiful poetry, and wine temptations. I will help you get to know it from the inside, taste it, and even briefly become pilgrims. You will see all the symbols of the city, decipher the features of its relief architecture, and taste the masterpieces of local gastronomy.
What to expect
Main and secret places of Ronda
We will start with the Barefoot Carmelites Monastery: try local sweets and ask the nuns for the key to the mysterious door. What's behind it - you will find out on the tour! You will also see the ancient bullring, where Hemingway liked to spend evenings creating the novella "Death in the Afternoon". Take a walk in the cozy park, appreciate the famous New Bridge, and stand on a balcony with a provocative name.
Ronda through the ages
Crossing the bridge to the other side of the gorge, we will uncover more ancient layers of the city's history: Roman, Moorish, and Christian. We will explore the ruins of the ancient fortress of Laurel, touch the fortress wall, sit in the Arab baths, and descend into the shaft of the Moorish king. Besides, Ronda is an expert in tapas and wine. If you don't mind, I will show you the most delicious place in town.
