What to Expect

As dusk falls over the city and night approaches, everything around becomes mysterious and unpredictable! The mysterious yellow light of the lanterns transforms the ancient streets and squares, while the shadows of palaces and plane trees along the Tiber embankment take on strange shapes. It is at these hours that we will meet the most famous ghosts of Rome together.

For centuries, the spirits of emperors, executioners, aristocrats, kings, poets, and popes have roamed the ancient quarters of the magical city. I will introduce you to the ghost of Julius Caesar in St. Peter's Square, the spirit of the most famous executioner in Europe, the ghosts of Beatrice Cenci and Donna Olympia. I will not only tell you legends about how these ghosts appeared but also interesting events from the lives of these great people. You will learn where and when you can meet the ghosts of Nero, Messalina, and Cesare Borgia.

If you wish, we can visit the private aristocratic apartments in the center of Rome. Here, in the apartment of an ancient noble family, the ghost of Cardinal Bruni lives. I will tell you the story of his life and death, and then we will go up to the terrace of the house with an unforgettable view of the dome of St. Peter's Cathedral, where the hosts will kindly offer us a glass of champagne.

So - in the company of ghosts, we will stroll through the evening Rome from the Vatican, through the ancient Borgo Pio district and the Sant'Angelo Bridge to Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, and the Spanish Steps. And everywhere, history, legends, myths, and reality will magically intertwine. And if it gets too scary, we can relax in the famous cafe near Piazza Navona, which, by the way, is located next to the Street of Souls, or listen to some live jazz in a charming jazz club near the Spanish Steps.
