About this experience
My tour is not a marathon aimed at seeing as many exhibits as possible. We will not try to cover everything, but will carefully study a few works with vibrant stories suitable for the participants' age. In simple language, I will talk about myths and history, introduce kids to great artists from the perspective of 'they were kids once too'. There will be friendly conversations, a lot of interactivity, and gifts.
What to Expect
Who will we meet?
I will select 5-10 works with expressive, understandable plots. Titian, Diego Velazquez, Pieter Bruegel, Parmigianino, Bellini, Raphael, Durer, Caravaggio, Tintoretto, Veronese - the list of artists may vary. The museum has a rich collection, interesting paintings suitable for participants of any age.
What will we focus on?
Mainly on those bright works that depict myths and funny stories. For example:
- Remember the old man who became a meme by pulling a splinter from a lion's paw.
- Discuss the myth of Apollo and Daphne: how love can turn a woman into a tree and how careful one needs to be with their desires.
- Find out why you shouldn't invite a Centaur to a wedding and what animal terrified the ancient Egyptians.
- Talk about the most famous museum theft involving the 'Saliere' salt cellar.
It will be fun and easy to understand
My tours are interactive dialogues. Besides engaging stories, I will prepare puzzles, riddles, and special envelopes. We will guess 'what's in the black box'. At the end of the tour, you will have an enthusiastic child who can recognize familiar plots in any museum worldwide and tell their friends about the paintings.
