About this experience
Everyone participates! This is not a traditional tour of 'look and listen', but an engaging way for children and parents to get acquainted with art in the company of a museum educator. We will discuss the architecture of the palace housing the gallery, examine key paintings from different eras - from Gothic to modernism, and explore the connection between the past and the present. All in a clear and lively language with tasks in a special notebook!
What to expect
Interactive format
Each child will receive a notebook with tasks in Russian related to the main works of art. The notebooks will include drawing, sticking stickers, and solving simple logic puzzles. This will help children not only immediately record their experience of interacting with a painting or sculpture, but also work on the acquired knowledge. To make our tour both educational and fun, we will not only look at paintings but also touch colors and smell symbolism. So be ready to perceive art with all your senses!
History through architecture
We will start by exploring the architecture and history of the Belvedere palace. You will have to find vases, tents, and children on the facade to discover who the owner of Belvedere was and understand what makes up Baroque architecture.
From 'Adoration of the Magi' to 'The Kiss'
In each section of the collection from Gothic to modernism, we will discuss key works, including 'Character Heads' by Messerschmidt, 'Napoleon at the Saint-Bernard Pass' by David, and of course, 'The Kiss' by Klimt. I will explain how each work connects Austria's past with the present. Together, we will make comparisons and experiments.
Who is this tour for
The program is adapted to the children's level of knowledge and is designed for participants aged 7 to 12 accompanied by adults. I will present the information in simple language, but it's important that you also encourage children to actively participate. If your children have a significant age difference, help the younger ones. While the children complete tasks on their own, I will provide more detailed information about the works that interest parents.

If you decide to buy tickets on your own, make sure to do so in advance as there may be no tickets available on the day of the visit at the Belvedere ticket office.
In the order comments, please let me know how old your children are and if they have any special interests so I can better prepare for our shared adventure in the museum.
