About this experience
How to talk to children about art and how to keep them entertained in a museum? During the tour, I will try to engage your children with the richness that is present in the Uffizi museum. In a light and playful way, the kids will get to know the heroes, interesting plots, and artistic features of works by Botticelli, Piero di Cosimo, and other painting masters.
What to Expect
This tour will easily and interestingly introduce children to the characters of the most vibrant works of the Uffizi.
Botticelli paints the wind: a young, tanned Zephyr with dark green wings diligently puffs out his cheeks and tries hard – he is the western wind, announcing spring. Together with him, embracing, flies the delicate young Aura – she is also a breeze, and she also blows: see, there is a light breeze coming out of her half-open lips. Have you tried to draw a breeze?
And Piero di Cosimo has a terrible marvel-monster about to eat the beautiful Andromeda – there she is, poor thing, tied to the rocks on the cliff. Thus the gods punished the girl for the vanity of her mother Cassiopeia, who thought herself more beautiful than the sea nymphs. All present turned away in horror so as not to see Andromeda's terrible death. But fortunately, Perseus arrived just in time – he happened to be flying by in his magical winged boots. Perseus falls in love with Andromeda at first sight, lands on the sea monster, and fearlessly strikes it with his sword. Then they had a wedding: look at the strange instruments of the musicians. Do you think you can play them?
