About this experience
What city do you imagine when it comes to coffee? Vienna? Rome? Venice? What if I tell you that the first coffee shop in Prague opened near the Charles Bridge 100 years after Venetian merchants brought beans to Europe! I will immerse you in the aromatic world of the Czech capital, share favorite coffee shops, and amaze you with unexpected facts about the drink that many cannot imagine their morning without.
What to Expect
Prague - a capital of coffee?
I'm sure many of you were surprised after reading the prologue about the first coffee shop in Prague - our meeting will bring no less curious discoveries. You will dive into the history of the Czech capital, where the grain and the drink made from it will take the lead. I will tell you who introduced coffee culture to this city, how quickly the drink conquered Prague, and whether the residents can be called true coffee lovers.
Aromatic Marks on the City Map
Of course, I won't just keep you in suspense with stories. A raid on the most interesting coffee shops in the city awaits you, where you will be offered a well-brewed aromatic drink. I will show you the building of the first coffee shop and lead you along the paths that Armenian Georgius Deodatus, or simply Gevorg, walked 300 years ago - you will learn what made him famous at the meeting. You will also get acquainted with three coffee shops in Prague that have already celebrated their centennial: once among their regulars were Vaclav Havel, Marina Tsvetaeva, Bedrich Smetana, and Albert Einstein. In the end, I will take you to a modern and hotly beloved by the Czechs coffee shop, where you can enjoy traditional desserts and polish off the impressions of the walk with a final cup of coffee.
