About this experience
Let's take a walk through the streets of Porto! You will explore the main attractions of the historic center, peek into unusual corners, learn about the lives of the locals, their culture and traditions, and taste the local cuisine.
What to Expect
Favorite Spots
We will stroll along the Ribeira waterfront, visit the Lello bookstore, admire the Sé Cathedral, stop by the São Bento station, the Carmelite church, and the Jewish quarter. You will see contemporary street art graffiti and baroque churches adorned with blue and white tiles on the outside and exquisite gold-carved woodwork on the inside! I will talk about the key moments in Portugal's history in which Porto played a direct role, and share local urban legends.
Gastronomic Heaven
At the end of the tour or during lunchtime, you can taste dishes of the local cuisine (codfish, francesinha, tripas à moda do Porto). I will recommend where to snack and what to do in your free time, and if you wish, we can visit the wine cellars of port wineries and conclude the tour with a tasting of this wonderful fortified wine.
