About this experience
In this route, there are places that are better seen with your own eyes once than a thousand times in photos. We will head to Achim Koy Arboretum, which unites 10 gardens and reveals the essence of South Korean nature. Then we will relax amidst the cinematic landscapes of Nami Island. Along the way, I will tell you about the nature of South Korea and answer any questions about our country.
What to Expect
Harmony at Achim Koy Arboretum. In a couple of hours, we will reach Achim Koy, or the Garden of Morning Calm. This place is perfect for experiencing the aesthetics of Korean nature. The vast territory of the arboretum has united 10 thematic gardens and more than a thousand species of plants and trees from all over South Korea. We will walk, enjoy the beauty of the garden landscapes, which were designed by two architects - man and nature.
Nami Island. After lunch, we will drive and take a ferry to a small island near the city of Gapyeong. I will tell you about the Korean TV series 'Winter Sonata', which has been popularizing Nami since 2003. The island seems to be created for a leisurely family walk - on the island we will encounter several curious installations and enjoy wonderful views.
Sample Travel Itinerary
- The road to the Garden of Morning Calm will take approximately 1.5-2 hours (75 km from Seoul). We will spend around 1-1.5 hours in the garden
- Lunch or a café (optional)
- Next, we drive to Nami Island (approximately 40 minutes). Crossing to the island on a small ferry (20 minutes) or zip line optional. We will have around 2-3 hours on the island.
- Drive back home - around 2 hours
Organizational Details
- The tour takes place in a comfortable Hyundai Santa Fe (2021): 4 seats + 2 (the third row is more suitable for teenagers and children). I will pick you up from the hotel and bring you back after the tour.
- Tickets are paid separately: ferry to Nami Island - 16000 KRW/person, Garden of Morning Calm - 11000 KRW/person. Also, lunch (optional) is not included.
