About this experience
Join me for a day in the fairytale province of Gapyeong! You will stroll through the idyllic Morning Calm Garden with its lake, pagoda, and hundreds of local trees. Then, we will take a ferry to Nami Island, where rabbits roam free, sequoias grow tall, and an atmosphere of pure bliss reigns. I will share the stories of how these places came to be on the map and how Koreans love to relax.
What to Expect
Morning Calm Garden. We will visit one of the country's best botanical gardens, where you can experience the beauty and diversity of Korean nature. You will see decorative trees, wild plants, colorful flowers, and a lake with a pagoda. I will share the history of the garden's creation and reveal which movie was filmed on its grounds.
Lunch at a local restaurant. You will taste the traditional Korean dish 'dakgalbi', popular in Gapyeong province.
River tram ride to Nami Island. Just a 10-minute ferry ride, and we will be on the small picturesque crescent-shaped Nami Island! You will remember it for its meadows, chestnut forests, pine tree avenues, and crystal-clear air. Optionally, you can explore the island on bicycles or a tourist train.
