About this experience
Embark on an adventure to the east of South Korea, where the natural beauty is beyond words. In the 'Seoraksan' national park, you will admire the mountain views, ride a cable car, and if desired, trek to one of the cliffs. Afterward, we will rest and have lunch at a traditional Korean fish market. Then, we will head to the sea - where you can swim at the beach in the summer.
What to Expect
Estimated Itinerary
06:00 - departure from Seoul
09:00 - stroll along the picturesque roads of the 'Seoraksan' national park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Optionally, we will hike to the Ulsanbawi Rock and experience rocking a massive stone (the round trip trek will take about 2 hours). We will also explore a 7th-century Buddhist temple and a 10-meter bronze Buddha statue. I will share the unique features of this sanctuary and the temple's history.
12:00 - ascend via cable car to the viewing platform atop, overlooking the clouds, waterfalls, and the ruins of Kwangmunsong fortress
13:30 - Korea's largest traditional fish market abundant with live seafood, ready for immediate tasting
15:00 - proceed to the beach along the Sea of Japan with photo zones, offering summer swimming options. You will also enjoy a ferris wheel ride with splendid views of the sea and the city. Dinner will follow.
18:30 - return to Seoul, approximately a 3-hour journey
Organizational Details
- 50% of the excursion's remaining cost is paid before departure from the city
- One-way travel time is approximately 2.5 hours
- The tour will be conducted in a 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe car, equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi and drinking water
- I will pick you up from your hotel in Seoul

- Meals (breakfast at a cafe, lunch at a fish restaurant, optional dinner) - $40-50 per person
