What to expect
Sataplia Cave, Colchis Forest, and traces of dinosaurs
You will see the fossilized dinosaur footprints and hear the story of their origin. You will walk over the abyss along a picturesque path along the cliff and find yourself in a mysterious cave with stalactites and stalagmites of intricate shapes. Next, you will stroll through the Colchis Forest and climb to a modern observation deck, from where you will have a magnificent view of Kutaisi and the valley.
Okatse Canyon and Kinchkha Waterfalls
You will visit one of the most enchanting places in western Georgia - Okatse Canyon. You will walk over the abyss on a man-made path securely attached to the cliff and feel like eagles soaring over the gorge. You will also enjoy the amazing Kinchkha Falls and hear fascinating stories about the Imereti region.
Organizational details
- The tour takes place in a comfortable car Toyota Prius XW30 2013.
- ATTENTION: the distance from the Okatse visitor center to the canyon is 3 km. We can walk this distance, which will add 1.5 hours to the tour, or take a jeep on the spot - $20.
- Food, drinks, and entrance tickets are not included in the tour price: lunch from the menu - $10, cave - $8, canyon - $8.
- At your request, on the way back, we can stop for lunch at a riverside restaurant.

I really liked both the tour and the guide. Levan is an interesting and knowledgeable storyteller. Along the tour route, he offered several options to choose from, even though it was not initially planned, so a special thanks for that. The tour, Levan, breathtaking landscapes - Georgia is beautiful.
