About this experience
I love my country and will show you its natural and man-made wonders with passion. You will journey to majestic mountains and legendary monasteries. At Noravank, you will feel like you are on another planet among red rocks, while at Tatev, on the edge of a cliff, you will feel the essence of time. Ride the longest cable car in the world and learn all about medieval Armenia in a day.
What to Expect
On the way from Yerevan, we will stop to admire the panoramic view of Mount Ararat. Then the plan for the day is as follows:
Noravank Monastery - the spiritual symbol of the country and our most beautiful monastery, in my opinion. Noravank is surrounded by proud red cliffs: to see these mesmerizing landscapes, you will climb to the viewpoint. Inside the monastery, you will see traditional khachkars, two churches, and a chapel - true examples of Armenian architecture.
Spandaryan Reservoir, the second largest water reservoir in Armenia. This man-made lake in the mountains always gives travelers a surge of strength and energy!
Journey on the Wings of Tatev Cable Car: 5752 meters - officially the longest cable car in the world. You will ride it to Tatev Monastery, enjoying the surrounding landscapes.
Tatev Monastery - a medieval sanctuary standing on the edge of a cliff. Here you will see three churches with skillful ornaments, transport yourself to the times when Tatev was a center of science and enlightenment in Armenia, and learn about the revival of the complex.
