What to Expect
Khor Virap (optional)
Visiting Armenia and not meeting with Mount Ararat is impossible! An awe-inspiring panorama awaits those who decide to visit the ancient monastery of Khor Virap.
Then we will head further to Vayots Dzor and, if desired, you can visit my guest house. Try delicious wines and dishes, listen to beautiful legends, and continue our journey with a good mood.
Shaki Waterfall
Our next stop is a unique waterfall that operates like 'Open Sesame'. Such wonders can only be seen in Armenia! You will learn why the waterfall has a schedule and witness the water streams cascading down the 30-meter rock.
Flight on the 'Wings of Tatev'
You will experience the longest cableway in the world! In 12 minutes, the modern 'Wings of Tatev' will take you from the village of Halidzor to the Tatev Monastery. Along the way, you'll enjoy magnificent views of the Vorotan River Gorge, with the highest point of the cable car ascent being 320 meters.
Tatev Monastery
Founded in the 9th century, the Tatev Monastery is considered a place of power where human creations harmoniously blend with the stunning beauty of nature. While exploring the monastery, you will uncover the history of the 14th-16th centuries when Tatev was a major center of science and enlightenment in Armenia. Learn about the philosophers, musicians, artists, and manuscript scribes who lived in the monastery, and discover the global restoration of this unique place.
Caves on the Cliff
Finally, our journey takes us to the ancient city of Khndzoresk, located on a mountain slope. You will explore caves literally hanging on cliffs resembling ancient multi-story houses, while I recount the history of Khndzoresk. Here, you will also take a dizzying walk on a suspension bridge over the gorge.

- The excursion starts and ends in Yerevan
- Additional expenses: cable car tickets - 7,000 drams, royal dinner with exclusive drink tasting - 8,000 drams per person, tuk-tuk to the cave city (for 4 people) - 7,000 drams, Khor Virap (optional) - 20,000 drams
- This excursion can be combined with Tasting-Historical Tour in Yerevan and Surroundings. The route is circular, so to see everything in two days without getting tired, you can stay overnight at my cozy rural home
