About this experience
In the seaside towns just an hour's drive from Rome, you will visit the homeland of legendary emperors, explore the ruins of Caesar's residence, hear ancient myths, learn about the history of noble families, enjoy dishes made from the freshest seafood, and relax on the beaches of the azure Tyrrhenian Sea.
What to expect
Nettuno - one of the favorite resorts of Romans
Strolling through the streets of the medieval district Borgo Medievale, you will see the remains of fortress walls, get acquainted with the multi-layered urban architecture typical of Italy, and take photos overlooking the large seaport from a bird's eye view. Near another attraction - the ancient Fortress of Sangallo - we will talk about the influence of noble Roman families on the city's appearance. I will also show you the best shop with organic Italian ice cream that is second to none - you can see it for yourself!
⠀
Anzio - a city with a history dating back to ancient Rome
Descending to the shore, you will walk along the sea, stopping for photos. Then you will cross over to the neighboring town of Anzio. Don't be alarmed - the cities are only conditionally divided, a walk along the sea will take no more than half an hour. Near the fragments and ruins of majestic palaces and villas, you will hear the legend of the city's foundation by the son of Odysseus and the Greek enchantress Circe. You will learn about the times when Anzio served as the residence of Roman emperors Caesar, Caius Lucretius, Octavian Augustus. I will also show you the place where the legendary Caligula and Nero were born, where Federico Fellini filmed "Amarcord". And I will tell you about the significance the city had in the history of liberation from fascism.
After the tour, I will show you great places for a fish lunch and give you a brochure I have prepared with the best restaurants and beaches in Anzio. And if needed, I will guide you on how to get to the station from where you can return to Rome.

The tour was not cheap: 135 euros for three people. For comparison: in Tallinn, a similar tour cost 40 euros, in Riga 60 euros. However, the price/quality ratio is not adequate. The informational material was quite modest. You can talk about Italy for hours. There were quite long silent pauses durin...
