About this experience
Our program is dedicated to the mysteries of antiquity and will particularly appeal to adventure, archaeology, and mysticism enthusiasts. In the historical-archaeological complex "Agarak" you will touch the secrets of rock carvings and occult rituals of Ancient Armenia. Nearby, you will visit the royal burial site and discover the secrets held by the early Christian monument.
What to Expect
Historical and Cultural Reserve Agarak
At the foot of Mount Aragats lies one of the most remarkable archaeological sites in Armenia. The area contains entire complexes of structures carved into the rock, most of which are associated with settlements from the Early Bronze Age. The guide will introduce you to the history of this place, as well as tell you about the ancient occult traces found and the mysterious tomb from the Urartian era.
Tombs of Ancient Rulers
Another attraction nearby is the burial site of Armenian kings and ancient burials. The remains of royal individuals were reburied here in the 5th century following a special ritual. You will learn about the facts uncovered about this sacred place during excavations. And discover the mysteries of the early Christian monument.
Also of special significance is the monastery complex in the village of Teger (13th century). What makes its architecture interesting and what secrets does the monastery hold? You will also be informed about this during the excursion.
