About this experience
Get ready for a rich, interesting, and very picturesque journey. You will ride a ferry, tram, and funicular, stroll along the bustling Istiklal Street, climb the Galata Tower, and experience the atmosphere of real Istanbul life in the Kadıköy district. And I will share interesting facts about the beloved city and local tips!
What to expect
And this is all - Istanbul!
You will walk in both the European and Asian parts of the city. The program includes:
- Taksim Square and Istiklal pedestrian street - you will see the districts where the nobles who received political asylum in the Ottoman Empire after the revolution lived. You will also observe the life of local youth and see the vintage red tram.
- Church of St. Anthony of Padua - built in Venetian neo-Gothic style by the Italian architect Giulio Mongeri, it will impress you with the elegance of architectural elements.
- Galata Tower - the symbol of the New City. Optionally, you can climb it and have tea with a view of the Golden Horn. Then you will cross the legendary Galata Bridge and observe the Istanbul fishermen.
- Kadıköy district - located in the Asian part of the city, it cannot boast of abundance of attractions. But you will remember the atmosphere here for a long time! You will immerse yourself in real Istanbul, away from tourist crowds and pushy vendors. Around you will be unhurried people living a simple and beautiful life.
