About this experience
I have designed the route of the tour so that the outstanding places of Istanbul will appear before you at the most spectacular time of the day. There will be stories and legends of palaces, the Maiden's Tower, and ancient mosques. A walk through the distinctive neighborhood of Kuzguncuk and fantastic views from the hill of Camlica.
What to expect
The Maiden's Tower and views of the city on the Bosphorus
The tour will start from the historic quarter of Uskudar, where you will stroll along the wide promenade and hear the romantic legend of the ancient Maiden's Tower. From there, we will enjoy the city panorama, and I will reveal details from the life of the Dolmabahce Palace, which rivaled the best ensembles of Europe.
Mosques of the Asian side
As a theologian, I will introduce you to the religious monuments not only from the perspective of their architectural grandeur but also provide detailed information about the key concepts and principles of Islam. You will visit the mosques of the 16th-17th centuries along the coast of the Marmara Sea - New Valide Mosque, Shemsi Pasha Mosque, and the modernist mosque of the Theological State University, which opened its doors to students and parishioners several years ago.
Lacy Kuzguncuk and the highest hill
At the first Bosphorus Bridge, you will visit a district where you will encounter a completely different side of the city. You will see wooden houses from the 19th century, stroll through winding streets, and learn about the unique history of one of the most tolerant neighborhoods of Istanbul. Then you will ascend to the city's highest hill - Camlica, where impressive panoramic landscapes await you.
Useful tips from a local resident
Throughout the day, I will provide you with useful information that will help you significantly save on expenses during your trip to Istanbul. And, of course, I will advise you on where to find the best Eastern sweets in the city, where to taste authentic Turkish tea and excellent coffee, which establishments are renowned for the best kebabs, and what other lesser-known but very delicious dishes of Turkish cuisine are worth trying.
🥘 A lunch break amidst a dense forest, surrounded by beautiful views of the European side and the Bosphorus, is planned during the tour.
