About this experience
On most tours of Istanbul, the city skillfully hides behind events, appearing as a backdrop. With me, everything will be different! We will explore it inside and out: we will look at small cafes and fishermen sitting on the shore with fishing rods, mansions on the streets climbing up the slopes, minarets, churches, and towers. I will reveal the soul of Istanbul, help you get to know and love it.
What to expect
I will show you the real Istanbul - with all its virtues and flaws. We will talk about its glorious past, learn how it lives and what it lives by today, and most importantly - discard the stereotypical image imposed by its historical past. You will see that Istanbul is unique for everyone - the main thing is to find yours. Here is our route:
- We will climb the hill of Grand-Ryu-De-Pera (now Istiklal Street) through the world's oldest metro tunnel (after London's)
- We will look into the Galata Tower for breathtaking panoramas of the city and the terrifying secrets hidden behind its walls
- We will visit the secret corner of Europe - Narmanly-Khan Square, where only Russian was once spoken
- We will visit historical passages: Syrian, Hazzopulo, Elhamra, Flower, Rumeli
- We will not miss the iconic churches: St. Mary Draperis, St. Anthony of Padua, and Holy Trinity
- We will go to Mysyrl-Khan and discuss why the locals are drawn here
- We will turn from the bustling Istiklal into a quiet alley and head to the bohemian Jihangir and the antique street Chukurdzhuma
- We will drink coffee in a place called the 'king of coffee'
- We will descend the hill to the Galata port and enjoy views of the Bosphorus
