About this experience
"I am taking a stone and removing all the unnecessary"... How did the great Michelangelo live, create, and feel the beauty? I will tell you about it in simple language at the Bargello Museum and the Santa Croce Monastery, where the master is buried. You will learn key moments of the creator's biography, analyze his works, get acquainted with his approach - and understand his influence on the development of world art.
What to expect
During the 2.5-hour tour, you will learn about the genius. You will discover key episodes of Michelangelo's biography, pivotal moments in his life and work, intrigues and myths surrounding his personality. We will analyze his works, primarily sculptures: we will talk about plots, composition, the "non-finito" technique, and the "dug around" technique.
Where will we get to know Michelangelo?
